How to Recognize a Narcissist

Before it’s Too Late

Washington DC – Upwards of 30 million Americans have significant narcissistic personality traits. These people look, sound and usually behave, just like the rest of us. But they break the hearts and often the minds and lives of those who love or trust them, and they commit the majority of heinous crimes. By the time you recognize her/him, you are married to a monster, your savings are gone, your company is destroyed, or lives have been taken.

On Saturday July 30, 2016, 2:00-3:30pm, Dr Claudia Contessini, an internationally renowned coach and narcissism expert, will help you learn to recognize these predators – before it’s too late.

“Most of us recognize the grandiose, the ‘look at me, fall before me’ type, dripping with self-appreciation,” says Dr Contessini. But, she reports, many narcissists are more covert. “All you’ll see is the ‘narcissistic smirk’ flit across the face, you’ll sense the insincerity in a seemingly caring comment, or you’ll feel a profound and disturbing coldness that doesn’t fit with the charming persona.”

As a psychotherapist and more recently life coach, Contessini has studied the clinical, psychological and neuroscientific research, and has worked with hundreds of narcissists – many over extended periods of time. She’s learned a great deal about the way they think, what motivates them, and how they behave in a variety of life situations.

“For a narcissist, you exist only to supply his needs,” says Dr Contessini. “For the narcissistic psychopath, your suffering is his pleasure. These are the most dangerous people on earth.”
